Junior sports clubs are a vital part of our community. These clubs support the teaching of discipline, teamwork, social skills, and confidence while fostering a fun and safe environment for development and play.
That’s why we are thrilled to announce that Burbage Taekwon-Do Academy & Fitness Centre was the winner of our 2024 Junior Club of the Year Award.
First place for the Junior Club of the year. Runner up for Sports Club of the year.
First place for the Junior Club of the year. Runner up for Sports Club of the year.In the last year, this academy successfully raised money for 8 students to go to the Taekwondo World Championships in Uzbekistan. The competition had 1,200 competitors from 34 countries.
These students were the only representatives of the United Kingdom at these championships.
This award also gives special mention to Master Higginson, a former Taekwondo World Champion who is committed to sharing his expertise and inspiring the next generation of martial artists.
Finally, this club has also been recognised by the nominations in its ability to provide a safe space for children, keeping them off the streets and learning valuable life skills.
