We are a full-time Taekwon-Do Centre in Hinckley established in the since 2001.

All our instructors are well trained and have many years of experience in ITF Taekwon-Do the Korean Martial Art of Self-Defence.

Our Story

Burbage Taekwon-Do was founded in 2001 at Burbage Millennium Hall by Master Wayne Higginson at the time IV Degree International Instructor. Over the years dedicated to teaching the Art of ITF Taekwon-Do to the local Schools and serving the community.

Burbage Taekwon-Do Academy have trained many students to Black Belts that have continued to International level, regularly competing for England along side Master Higginson. Today Master Higginson VII Degree along with Mrs Higginson VI Degree and a Team of experienced Instructors teach at our full time Dojang Training Centre in Hinckley Leicestershire.



We can now offer 19 Structured Classes per week for all ages from Beginner to International Level.



Our Classes: Warriors Program 4-7 years – Beginner TKD Junior/Adult (Family) – Intermediate TKD /Adult – Black Belt – Junior Sparring – Adult Sparring – Padblast Fitness Classes.



Academy Instructors at the Centre with many years experience, all fully qualified, DBS checked, First aid qualified and up to date with all BTC Safeguarding Courses. Welfare Officer and Club Mark Accreditation.



Master Higginson is the Senior Instructor of the Academy with over 40 years experience, holding World & European Titles.
